However that’s a relic of the past. Hitting your milestones, especially as a man, is very important.
That is more fringe a view than "You should wait until you're an adult to have sex." By and large, two consenting adults having sex outside of marriage isn't seen as "irresponsible," save for in the eyes of the exceptionally principled.
