I know we tend to write off gym-maxing because people promoting it (gigachad "just lift bruh") tend to greatly overlook factors influencing their success such as DNA (genetics)

We shouldn't have tunnel-vision on genetics though because there are other factors too which could even fuck up Chad's gains or be what prevents normal/suboptimal DNA guys from getting at least slight success.

I think wealth is a big factor we overlook in the class warfare. With suboptimal genes you prob can't get by as well on eating big macs like Bar-Barian Tyrone, so ordering clean/lean protein supplements could get a bit costly. Plus all that other shit that helps you avoid/repair injury like omega 3 fatty acids, decent vitamin supplements.

Aside from nutrition intake another aspect of wealth manifesting though is actually just lifestyle. For example:

1) do you live in a quiet neighborhood where you feel safe and can relax and get a good restorative sleep?​
2) do you live in a spacious enough place to store your supplements and do calisthenics at home?​
3) can you afford a decent gym membership or decent equipment to give you a wider variety of exercise options?​
4) do you have ergonomic bed and furniture to avoid stress injuries?​
5) do you work at a job that drains a lot of physical energy or causes a lot of stress?​
6) do you live in a neighborhood with clean air or dirty air?​
7) do you have enough surplus cash to do stuff like get restorative massages, or have cute GF to give you free massages to enhance recovery?​
8) do you have enough surplus cash to enjoy hobbies that allow you to relax and feel happy and not feel like bodybuilding is only thing you spend cash on?​
9) do you have network of friends who make you feel secure and unstressed in life?​
10) do you have habits which allow you to decompress your spine and fix your posture? Chad has casually swam laps and hung from jungle gyms his whole life so he's fine, but you probably haven't.​

These are just examples, I'm sure we could come up with more.

these are factors I think a lot of us are missing the majority of in our life.

They are not directly DNA so it's POSSIBLE for Chad to lack them, though increasingly unlikely the more he progresses up the decile scale.

Of course it's easy to confuse the results they cause for DNA since having good DNA helps in manifesting all of these things.

When we fail at gym-max we can blame DNA's primary factors (how it deals with stress and materials) but we should also consider how these secondary factors would impact performance and recovery/overadaptation too.

It's possible that through some organization or focus we could amend/mitigate some of the secondary factors. Unlike chad this wuold take some seirous effort, but at least those are sometimes things you might reasonably achieve unlike DNA rewriting which is still decades off.

Example 6: in lieu of swimming (hard to find confidence to do until you improve) stretch/straighten spine by hanging from inversion table plus obv should build up to hanging your hands from bars​

I feel like life would be so much better if I was just crazy muss. I could be talking to a foid but she would say something that gets me thinking about lifting and I would drift off and ignore her and just strike a pose, and she would love it because foids occasionally don't mind being ignored by a guy so long as he is impressive and ignores her for impressive hobbies.



Also just as a cope I'm going to channel Roald Dahl and theorize there might be some proof about habitual facial expressions affecting your looks to some miniscule degree, just not to the amount he embellishes it. Maybe if I am optimistic and scowl at people around me (do this mentally more often than externally) subtle changes in face muscle tension will influence how I am perceived to a beneficial degree?

what GMH is the idea that because it takes a lot of time to recover from big damage I could take the "lift big once every 1 to 2 months" type approach later

isolation is prob where it's at to really get pumps and focus on certain areas but compounds are apparently a good core and timesaver so rows/chins/presses serve a lot I guess

I don't agree. Roids aren't the only thing to spread, you also have more widespread access to supplements like whey, cheaper and more ergonomic fitness equipment, and simply increased competition pushing people to train harder.

Keep in mind that in 10s/20s/30s/40s you had alternating wars/depressions keeping most people starving and working in high-effort physical jobs which is going to fuck up the recovery needed to put on mass.

Round the end of the 19th century (1890s) you had guys like Sandow/Maxick going around but apparently a lot of what they did was just "self-resistance" : didn't even have numerical feedback on their progress. They were also not purely focusing on mass but also stuff like posing and actually doing feats of strength to perform at carnivals for people.

The advantage to being short is basically that you don't have to put on as much weight which means food is less expensive. You could look as big at 200 pounds as a tall guy might at 300 pounds: but it's not going to actually give you the hormonal profile for carrying that muscle IMO.

gymmaxxing works if you're an average looking guy 5-6/10 you'll be able to get some women, however if you're sub 5 it doesn't work, but it helps for intimidation

I feel like you're underestimating the impact of triceps and upper back muscles. Foids may not process this consciously as stuff which impresses them but I bet subconsciously it does.
