I kind of had the opposite experience, I always liked butts more (not sure because I was culturally conditioned into doing so because I'm a Black man and "wanted to conform to the group" or because of my own genetics), but after talking with friends I also got into breasts.

I read somewhere that you can condition people into finding something attractive, for example high heeled shoes are considered to be "the ultimate sign of womanhood" today despite originally being a male piece of fashion. Likewise if you read articles about beards 10 years ago it would be along the lines of "All women hate beards, then why do so many dudes grow them?" To "The hottest beards of 2021" as women saw lots of Chad's and Chadlite's with beards. I wouldn't be surprised if short hair on men is likewise conditioned into being "masculine".

Humans are herd animals (like sheep), we like what our friends like to fall into the group, women are much more sheepish then men but we're also very sheepish. This isn't a disadvantage, in fact if we weren't like this we wouldn't have been the top of the Animal Kingdom.

I was always a boob guy in school because the girls wore long grey skirts that didn't really show off their butts. Meanwhile many girls boobs were very visible even when they wore sweaters but especially the way that they would strain against the tight fitting white school shirts . I also just think it was kind of novel in school because once girls hit puberty it was the first time I had seen girls of my age with breasts, when previously they had been flat chested, so it was pretty exiting seeing all the girl's chests developing.
