I think it has to do with the legs and arms feeling sleepy but being unable to fall asleep even when lying on the bed and closing your eyes.
This problem is only made worse by keeping on shoes while inside the house and not stretching now and then imo.

If you have trouble sleeping, whatever you do, do not smoke weed. Even if you think it helps you sleep, it actually makes things worse because it supresses REM sleep. Then the serious problems start - sleep walking, hallucinations, basically you start to lose your grip on reality.
