So I am in the first year of my college and I would have to declare my major now, should I go with computer science course, I just want a 9-5 job that I can do remote and that earns me decent money that is all....

1) Will AI overtake all codercels? Should I even bother trying to be a coder or is this job going to see a lot of layoffs in the future.....

sounds to me like youre afraid to go out of your comfort zone. I did engineering in the hopes I could isolate myself from others all day. I was wrong, but now I am not a pussy at talking to strangers and even prefer getting out of the office because of how boring it gets. I wish I had done a higher status job after I stopped being a social interaction pussy

shieet nigga if you want stability look at courses and specialisations like IT System Integration, iT Systems Electronics Technician, IT-cyber security.

Those jobs aint going no where and cannot be eplaced by AI unless some terminator level robot appears which will still be too expensive for normies so you safe there. Forget the web dev stuff that nearly every student majors in as a specialisation unless you really have a passion for it because the competition is insane. Those webdev jobs are getting outsourced anyway but the jobs I listed above need a man on premises plus you can start a business doing that once experienced. plus the 3 mentioned above actually overlap alot so if you ready to studycel even after Uni you will be making millions if you start a company offering those services also few students specialise in them because the normies are too lazy to be bothered with learning the stuff for exams because its easy but really technical and shieeet and boring, like really technical boring , no joke I am for real.

cyber security is actually a continuation from IT System Integration. First you learn networking like firewalls stuff and http stuff in browsers then cyber security its a specialisation 6 month certificate course. First you major in IT System Integration focusing on networking and shieet at Uni or in a apprenticeship if your country has those.
