yep but once people realise you're good at it they respect you for it. This guy actually respected me after i got into the advanced class and he started talking to me about math on the bus. I think it was a weakness of his so naturally he became a cuck around me despite me having the social skills of an infant

only in exceptional cases can you gain status due to it. If you're good verbally, you will gain status very easily
