I liked x and y, it felt like the last real pokemon game. What should have happened is have Pokemon GO come out at that time as well because even during 2016 the franchise itself was rapidly sloping downhill.
Sun and Moon felt more woke than broke
They don't ever add anything substantially innovative or new. Just a gimmick battle mechanic, some retarded "regional variant" shit that began in Alola (Sun and Moon) and two shitty legendaries that don't even look good.
Hell, now they actually REMOVE features. Just look at the Diamond and Pearl remakes that don't even have the Underground area or base building features from the original games!

Sword and shield were trash and I haven't even played or watched anything of scarlet and violet but from what I have seen and heard it seems awful.
They should have stopped making games at Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon in my opinion

Pokémon was always manchild cartoon. Manchidren didn’t care about quality. Ash is literally a man child, he has been 12 years old for 20+ years. And the whole cartoon is basically rooster fights, with sugar sprinkles on it.
