Nothing, really. The fate that we live, no matter what we may think, is simply just a random combination of bad traits. Not destiny or God's plan or some bullshit like that. There are bad genetics, and good genetics, and we just happened to get more of the former than the latter.

The worst case scenario is we're weird and lack basic human interaction for whatever reason. The best case scenario is we're incredibly wrong and is just hallucinating the whole thing in a simulator.
There is no reason, just blind "luck". The world is what it is, there really isn't any point in stressing about how or why things are, just accept them and and adapt.
