I've often wondered what would happen if society was not sexualised, no romance in media and certainly no sex scenes. Ever since I was a kid I have wondered what exactly the purpose was of putting sex scenes in major Hollywood films, there are far more subtle ways to indicate that characters are romantically involved.

What would happen if such relation were only alluded to between married couples in the media? Would there be this massive pressure?

I can't remember where I read it, but in North Korean films they do not even show kissing, this was also the case in Bollywood not too long ago and when kissing scenes did start to come they were seen as controversial, nowadays there are also sex scenes in Bollywood, although nowhere near as graphic as those shown in Hollywood.

These things serve no plot purpose, they are only there to shape societies views and make people pursue their most base desires.

It's kind of batshit wild really. I grew up thinking and was taught by movies, told by parents, etc. that virginity was nothing to be ashamed of, that girls actually find virgins cute, that if you be yourself girls will like your confidence etc.

I don't think this really matters, if you are good looking but have been hiding under a rock for some reason, they won't care about your virginity as they will be attracted to you physically. The thing is that anyone past the age of 21 who hasn't been laid is almost 100% likely to be unattractive in some way, so there is some bias.

And I don't think foids quiz men who they want to sleep with about their past sex lives before going to bed with them, they might notice the inexperience during the first time but by that time it doesn't matter.
