I was reading about Hammer-headed bats and came across this interesting tidbit of information.

Males hang from riverside trees and honk for hours at a time, while females fly by selecting a suitable mate. You heard that right folks. 6% of males mate 79% of the time and the other 94% get lucky once in a blue moon. The black pill is out there all-around nature you just have to look for it. Females only wanting what they consider the cream of the crop is a deeply ingrained instinct that is found across species. There also seems to be a hint of Fisherian runaway selection considering the large larynx these bats have probably aren't that useful in terms of survival.
