Remember how in the past the world of VN's was the place where you can somehow cope? Pure (though unnatural) feeling, pure teenage love and heavenly 2D girls?

Well, seems it's over now. The studios which made the most popular VN in my country (Soviet Games' Everlasting Summer) have finally released their 2nd one last week. After 8 years of development LOL. The visuals and music are perfect as always (they even have a Hentai patch), not gonna lie. But the 2D world is not perfect anymore. Perfect 2D girls aren't the thing in 2022. 3 of the 4 of main female charaters are merciless bitches, and the one remaining is even worse. Just like the real world foids.

Main charater pretends to be an autistic sadboy, but actually he is tall blonde (they darkened his hair a little in the release version, but originally he was golden blonde) Chadislav slaying his female Japanese schoolmates left and right and cuckolding and beating the shit out of the male ones. His JBW aura is so strong that even the cruel Zaibatsu boss hesitates to do him any harm.

Well, one may say it seems somehow real, but usually this is not the kind of experience you expect when reading VN's.

It's not like VNs changed, you changed. You understood how much of an ugly thing you are, and thus cannot relate to the vns anymore. But here begs the question. Why relate at all? Just enjoy it for the sake of entertainment and forget you even exist, and if you cannot do so. Then don't even bother reading them.

Do you think i read Majikoi or Rance or Steins gate and i think for a second im anywhere close to them? FFS i don't even measure to their shoes, but that's just about it they're not real. And i'm just playing a shitty game called reality, so don't think about it. It's pointless

This is so true, once I got blackpilled I immediately re-evaluated a lot of things that I used to enjoy to realise that the things I once was able to find myself in became inaccessible because I started noticing all these Blackpill trends in the media.

I think you're right concerning most of VN's. But some of them (like the first Soviet Games' VN) have MC's that I can somehow relate. Like the NEET with some eye problems from the Everlasting Summer (who is probably the son of this Chadislav guy, LOL). At least he's a decent person and he (and you) has to put some effort to romance one of the girls. And MC of the new VN (Love, Money, Rock'n'Roll) is insanely popular amongst the gurls since very start despite being a total jerk.

Yes, VNs used to be better. I loved Kana no Imouto or Love Plus. Everlasting summer is great, but I guess you need to speak russian to understand it. Lots of cultural references to Russia/USSR and image boards. These are relatable. If you played True love for Rinko, she's super nerdy and when you are in her room, she has some metal man's poster and an electric guitar in the corner. This is funny and almost cute.


Now it's different. I've played nekopara recently and its just dead inside. Its cute but its plain. You get kudere catgirl and genki catgirl. Simple, plain, single note characters.

Sure, you relate. Nontheless they end up being tall and handsome most of the time, i've not yet seen an ugly protagonist in a VN. unless it's just porn and it's a ugly bastard type of VN. I also relate to a lot of protagonist, after all VNs are made to cater to the hikkikomory/neet Japanese audience, so the protagonist has to either be bullied or be a neet.

Don't ever go reading Grisaia no Kajitsu, cause the MC is a tera-chad and every girl in heaven wants your dong. Like at first i was so hyped by the dude, dunno why i even related to him. Look him up if you want, name Kazami Yuuji. Really ridiculous.
