It's impossible to know motivation and cause behind every [serial] killing. It's obvious that majority of serial killers are predators but why it's assumed that every sk is predator?
An example: a driver sees female hitchhiker near the road. She wears revealing clothes and acts in sexuality provocative way.
They both agree to have sex. During the sex, female shames man for being too soft and questions his sexuality ( are you gay? ).
This naturally provokes anger reaction in male. So he: a) tries to be rough as possible and unintentionally strangles female or harms her seriously and this provokes helplessness and fear in him so he murders her in order to avoid lawsuit against him.
b) he just beats her badly and this leads to her death.

But society pretends that women are innocent asexual beings and can't demand rough sex or provoke anger in men by shaming them so all [serial] killers are seen as monsters and predators.

How? Some males wouldn't have planned to murder someone but they committed first crime under the influence of affect or were too impulsive due to mental inferiority.

Many of them were victims first, of violence of abuse or neglect, many of them simply were born with genetics predisposing them to go down that path, either by making them vulnerable to getting abused or by giving them a abnormally high capacity for violence / indifference to social norms, lack of self-control and so on. But you don't get provoked into killing accidentaly more than once. The second time you would be aware enough to stop yourself if you want to, so, by the time you are a serial killer, almost all your killings will have been concious retreadings of the inital incident.

I wouldn't be suprised if it is one day proven that civilisation really got going outside of africa because under harsher weather conditions the role female sexual selection plays is smaller realtive to natural selection and women were selecting for disgenic traits (from a civilisational perspective) when allowed to do so.
