I remember in school girls would dare each other to ask out the ugly kids to prom or offer them a kiss. I guess it's sort of like that?

Sometimes the boys act like this too. They would hype up the ugly kids in an insincere way, usually during our gym class. The ugly kids were usually unathletic on top of having subpar looks and it made the joke even more comical to the normies.
