The degeneracy we see today is a consequence of people stopping to be religious and, surprisingly, capitalism. Christian ethics, morals and values used to be a driving force in the society, keeping degeneracy in check, keeping women chaste and humble, maintaining the sanctity of the family unit and gender roles. These things among many others are aligned with the progress and stability of society. So when people stopped believing and following religion another force took its place: profit (above all else). And this opened the gates for every shit we see today.

In today's society of profit, whatever sells is what will be pushed. And because there are no values to keep degeneracy in check we are seeing things like feminism and wokeism corrupting companies, e-girls being predatory as fuck taking advantage of simps and becoming rich and single mom epidemic. People will be sheep will follow this blindly and this will be pushed because degeneracy sells. Just look at how redditors and normies are, how social media algorithms strongly push e-girls and other types of foids to everyone. I can't stop my IG from showing me pictures of barely clothed, hot women. And things get worse with time.

Ultimately, I see no other solution to this other than a non-cucked government becoming more authoritarian to move society away from degeneracy and men stop simping.

I meant a more authoritarian government in the sense of censoring degenerate culture, instead of promoting it and censoring the wrong things, like we have today. Think about the inversion of what reddit does.

Interesting post to think on, regardless of whether one buys into the supernatural parts of religion, I agree entirely that it has a unifying affect in terms of values and is something that seems to help get people to behave inline with standards.

If you take religion out of the picture and don’t have an effective and unified set of values to raise people with then a lot of the population become more self centered and nihilism/hedonism pick up. That’s what I’ve seen where I live anyway. The only thing people value is maximizing their own advantage and that makes sense considering the environment they’re in.

I’m not religious anymore in that I don’t personally believe my old religion is true but that doesn’t mean traditional religions are “wrong” about everything. For example I’d argue Islam and old form Christianity very clearly understood human nature and what women are like.

I think it’s in theory plausible to have a society where those same behaviors and norms are pushed without the religious aspect but its probably more complicated since you can’t defer to God(s) anymore and instead have to be very good at articulating the practical reasons behind such rules. So, things like:
1) What negative outcomes happen if you don’t regulate male and female behavior in X ways
2) What positive outcomes happen when we do

That kind of thing. Good post man Historically if things got really bad for men they’d revolt and establish new norms by force. Today men are indoctrinated against our interests very effectively from a young age and men also just tend to “detach” from the society they see as broken and cope with porn, whores, games, anime, etc. Maybe things will change more drastically eventually but maybe they won’t for a long time.

Basically, the good effect religion had on society is gone and this needs to come from somewhere else, possibly the government, or else. Most people don't have the vision to follow religious values and morals without believing in it.
