i'm in the U.S. but never purchased from facebook tbh. i guess i have a paranoia of getting scammed, plus i would like it to be retail price which is like $499 for a ps5 i think

Use Facebook marketplace. I never had something shipped from there but I think it is insured if you get scammed. Most of them meet in person anyway.
