I always had several HDs, now that I built a new PC I decided to use only 1 HD because the old ones were all super old and would die sooner than later. I recently lost a 2TB one full of porn.
I'd say I have 3 TB of porn spread over 3 HDs.

Micro SD cards are not good for long-term data storage. If you want to keep your collection safe for the years and decades to come, I recommend you use a HDD or SSD. Take advantage of SMB (also called Samba) file sharing. It lets you access files and stream videos from your PC to another device over wifi. It's built into Windows and very easy to setup. You just right click on the folder/drive you want and click share. I use the VLC media player app to view my giant porn library from the comfort of my phone

Have you thought about using a RAID 1 array of disks for redundancy. Could use two or more disks. Most MBs support software RAID 1.

No warning, I have another HD that was making clicking sounds and being slow so I managed to salvage the data because I knew it was coming. This one worked completely fine until one day it just died.
I'd invest on backups but I kinda don't have money for it.
