Sexual conflict basically gave rise to many "fucked up things":
Certain invertebrates use genital plugs and just seal the sex organs of a female to prevent sex with another male (a chastity belt so to speak, for example: male black widows do it with their embolus - the copulatory part of their bulbus on the pedipalps that breaks off during the copula). Other animals use anti-aphrodisiacs (chemicals that effectively neuter females' sex drives), others eat the children of their rivals and some even resort to necrophilia (in Rhinella proboscidea it's even a reproductive strategy, males go to drowned females and females often drown in toads during amplexus and press the eggs out of their dead bodies to fertilize them with their sperm afterwards).
And the numerous adaptations for/against rape/sexual coercion (look at the genitals of ducks for example, ducks are also among teiids animals where necrophilia is common). And what cephalopods do: They disguise themselves as females so that stronger men don't recognise them to copulate with the females of that male behind his back (male feminism and trannymaxxing is that you?) - long story told short: Nature is for human standards a fucked up place to be.
